SUMMARY:A Gathering of Goats: Claire Rosen at InLiquid
DESCRIPTION:InLiquid presents A Gathering of Goats on Tuesday\, June 10 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.\, transforming the Icebox Project Space at the Crane Arts Building into a single-evening live installation drawn from photographer Claire Rosen’s ongoing Fantastical Feasts series. \nFor more than a decade\, Rosen has staged live animals in elaborate banquet compositions referencing Da Vinci and the Dutch vanitas tradition\, with shoots ranging from cheetahs in the Amazon to goats in Sarajevo. A Gathering of Goats translates that practice into live form\, with the Philly Goat Project’s trained herd serving as collaborators across a sequence of interactive vignettes including The Goat Feast — a pastoral tableau featuring the herd at an opulent banquet — and The Goat Art Studio\, where the goats produce original works on canvas and paper that may later be available for purchase as part of the fundraiser. \nGuests sip Caprini-tinis and savor goat-inspired canapés conceived by culinary consultant Lynn Buono\, founder of South Kensington’s Feast Your Eyes Catering. A whimsical photo opportunity invites attendees to pose with one of the herd. \nThe event benefits both the Philly Goat Project — which has engaged more than one million people in goat-assisted activities at The Farm at Awbury and across greater Philadelphia since its 2018 founding — and InLiquid\, the producing organization. \nTickets available through InLiquid.

SUMMARY:Flora Yukhnovich "Bacchanalia" at Hauser & Wirth
DESCRIPTION:Flora Yukhnovich “Bacchanalia” at Hauser & Wirth Downtown Los Angeles\, October 30\, 2025 – January 25\, 2026\nDrawing inspiration from a rich tapestry of art history\, British artist Flora Yukhnovich weaves a captivating dialogue between the past and present in her paintings. From the opulence of French rococo to the grandeur of Italian baroque and even the bold strokes of abstract expressionism\, Yukhnovich’s work dives deep into themes of materiality and artistic process. \nIn her debut solo exhibition in Los Angeles at Hauser & Wirth\, she unveils a stunning new series of canvases inspired by the vibrant spirit of Bacchanalia. Through her lush\, swirling brushstrokes\, Yukhnovich masterfully captures the exhilarating energy and corporeal intensity of both ancient and modern hedonism\, while also probing the relentless excesses of consumer culture. \nAccompanying this visually striking exhibition is a beautifully crafted catalogue that features a compelling collection of Yukhnovich’s illustrations alongside insightful text by curator Eleanor Nairne. \n  \nFeatured image: Flora Yukhnovich “Tarantella” (detail) 2025\, Oil on linen 78 3/4 x 110 1/4 x 2 inches
