Nataliya Yermolenko debuts Icons, Influence & You at Jane Gallery, celebrating Women’s History Month with portraits of inspiring women past and present.

Philadelphia’s Jane Gallery is hosting “Icons, Influence & You”, a solo exhibition by artist Nataliya Yermolenko, celebrating Women’s History Month with a fusion of past and present portraiture. Opening on Friday, March 7 (reception from 5:30 to 9 PM), this exhibition invites you to experience the rich legacy of female influence through Yermolenko’s signature editorial fashion-inspired portraiture and conceptual figurative art.

Originally from Moldova and now based in Philadelphia, Nataliya Yermolenko is recognized for her evocative, layered portraits that blend bold color palettes with an insightful exploration of identity and influence. Icons, Influence & You builds upon her previous collections by juxtaposing portraits of historic female pioneers in the arts with contemporary figures selected through an open call for submissions. These modern-day inspirations, transformed through Yermolenko’s artistic lens, create a compelling dialogue between past and present, showcasing the enduring power of female representation in art.

“We wanted to create an exhibit that not only honors the women who have paved the way but also invites the community to actively participate in shaping the narrative,” says Nataliya Yermolenko. “By incorporating local and personal inspirations, Icons, Influence & You fosters a personal connection between the audience and the artwork, making it a truly immersive experience.”

In addition to the exhibition, Jane Gallery will offer a unique interactive experience at the opening reception. Guests who share event photos on Instagram using the hashtag #IconsAndInfluence and follow @Yermolenko.Art and @JaneGalleryPhilly will be entered into a raffle to win a personalized 12” x 16” portrait commissioned by Yermolenko.
